    Volunteer for Coventry Haven

We are a community based voluntary sector agency which means that volunteers are essential to us. Volunteers help by providing support to our clients, by governing the agency as a trustee, and by linking us with the community.

We welcome applications to volunteer, from women over the age of 18, and are keen to recruit volunteers from different cultural backgrounds and with different language capabilities.

Domestic violence training will be delivered to all new volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer at Coventry Haven, please download the application form and return it to us, fully completed, by email ( or by post. We will then contact you to arrange an interview, and if selected, you will be invited to a training course. The course will be held once a week over a period of 4 to 6 weeks, and will cover a variety of topics including:

- the dynamics and impact of domestic abuse
- communication skills
- referrals and advocacy skills
- Coventry Haven Women's Aid policies

If after training you are considered suitable for the role, you will be offered a placement. Most volunteers work within the Outreach Team dealing with face-to-face and telephone enquiries. Some people prefer to get involved in fundraising and event organisation – if this is your area of interest, you might like to become a Friend of Coventry Haven. Please contact Jaime on
